Grandma’s Recipes – Mayonnaise Biscuits
I decided to start out this series with a couple of breads from my Grandma’s recipe box. The first recipe is for a really easy biscuit recipe made with three ingredients! My grandmother loved to entertain everyone from her church group to friends and neighbors so I found several recipes that were for foods that were quick or fed large amounts of people. Like coffee for 50!
These biscuits really surprised me with how delicious they were! I am not a fan of mayonaisse, but you couldn’t even taste it after the biscuits were cooked. The biscuits themselves were so fluffy and tender. They reminded me of cloud biscuits or even puff pastry puffs! The recipe can easily be doubled or tripled and if you don’t have self-rising flour, you can make it yourself by adding 1 1/2 tsps. baking powder and 1/4 tsp. salt to every cup of flour.
Mix together all ingredients.
Drop by spoonfuls on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or until done.
